DVD media

Can someone explain what the differences are between all of the differnt types of DVD Burner medias? Like for example, DVD-R and DVD+R, what's up with that?

FAQ's??? What are those? 🙂 Thanks for the link. Do dvd media hold up as well as CDs or are they more prone to getting errors on them?

From what I've heard, durability is comparable to CD-Rs.
