DVD media capable of 12x???

I'll be interested to see how the Hyundai media works for you. I read on 1 of the forums,(cdrlabs or 1 of the others), that the media in question Will Not playback on any stand alone dvd drive. I certainly hope that is not true of all this media.
I have used Verbatim at 12x to date,( the disk that came with the Plextor), and have used Plextor 8x at 12x so far.
Plextor is Yuden000
Verbatim is mcc
I ordered 50 Taiyo Yuden yesterday,(8x), and also have some Verbatim Datalife coming as well, and will be testing them when they arrive.

I got the Ritek 8x http://www.newegg.com/app/view...=17-132-321&DEPA=0 with my 3500a from newegg but can only get them to write at 4x

Yeah, I got the same media except the -r (the Riteks) w/ the same burner, same situation.. I even tried a 3rd party firmware, no difference though. I've got some prodiscs on order that a few people recommended so we'll see how those go.. I tend to think it may be a firmware issue though for the NEC.. I'm even considering RMAing for the Pioneer.. at least they have official firmware on their website
