dvd issues

I got one for you all.
If I put a dvd (cd) into my dvd on my computer and read it and then eject it and insert a new dvd (cd) into it, it reads the old cd information. It doesn't read the new cd and thinks the old one is in it. I updated the drivers package from the website and also flashed the bios to the latest (1.9 i think it was). motherboard is MSI K8N Neo4-F. 1GB Kingston PC3200 mem on two sticks, XFX 6600GT PCIe 128MB video, Win XP Pro.

What does it do when you actually click on the drive though to read whats in it? Ive seen many times where in windows explorer it will say the "title" under like C: of the last cd that was in it when it was not currently in it, but when you click on it, still should read the current disc in it.

Not sure what the case would be, I would think like cd/dvdrom drivers or windows drivers or something. The ata controller card drives maybe. A setting? I dunno.

it sshows files on the cd that was in it previously. the newly inserted cd will not show any new files. i think you can actually click on the old files from the previous cd and run the program again. i'd have to try it again and see. i can post back about reading the old files again. bizzaro.

okay, yea it shows the files from the first cd. it will try to run the program, but will error and not install the program, but it won't show the files from the second cd.

bought it a couple years ago. some off brand. yea, i have nvidia drivers loaded, cd that came with the motherboard, then downloaded the latest from MSI website.
