I am running top of the line new hardware, 1.33GHZ, Hercules G-3, Toshiba
dvd,cdrom player. I am using the pass through cable from the Hollywood DVD hardware card to the graphics card. I notice a small amount of video degradation at all times. This is ok, maybe, while watching a dvd movie, but I don't like it at other times while using the PC. I tried software DVD "Power dvd" version 3, but could not get DTS 5.1 sound in my Digitheatre DTS speaker system. I am using Creative SB Platnum 5.1 with live drive. Is there a way to get better video quality? Or can I use the
software DVD, and get the video quality and the DTS sound? Even with the hardware DVD, I get stuttering in the sound and video. I have tried several brand new DVD movies. I expected more from top of the line hardware! I hope I just haven't got the right combo yet!
