DVD Extras...Do you care?

I think the only movies I've ever really watched all the extras for are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Sometimes blooper reels can be funny, but otherwise I really don't care.

I only check out the extras if it's a movie that I'm REALLY into. That's rare though. The exception to this is deleted scenes, which I normally almost always watch if I have time.

edit: didn't vote as options are too narrow

Here are my thoughts:

I like the deleted scenes, often there are cool things that I wish were in the movie that werent'. Thats why I bought the extended Lord of the Rings DVD's.

As for the "how the movie was made" stuff, I find that it make the movie less realistic to me if I watch it again, because I'm thinking about the stuff they present and watch it like the actor or producer would, and the movie looses its sense of reality.

For TV DVDs I generally do watch the extras. For movies I rarely do, unless it is something that requires deeper explanation and insight like Norbit for example.

I never watch the extra's and wish there wasn't even a menu. DVD goes in, movie starts.

Same here. I loved Laser Discs, pop it in, hit play. No previews, menus, just movie.
