Hi ,
Im currently running an AMD 64 X2 3800+ , but i dont play games i only use my PC for DVD Encoding and Burning .
I always heard that Intel was the better CPU for that type of work .
In the past i played a lot of games thats why i went with AMD .
I've not bought an Intel CPU before , and was just wondering is there anyone out there with 1 thats around £200/$350 .
Could you tell me what it performs like ?
I was looking at these 2 :-
1 x Intel Xeon 3.2GHz FA 800MHz 2MB cache Nocona CPU Retail @ £229
1 x Intel Pentium 4 950 Dual Core "LGA775 Presler" 3.4GHz (800FSB) @ £229
1 x Intel Pentium 4 650 3.4 GHz ( 800 MHz ) - LGA775 Socket - L2 2 MB - Box (BTX Type I) @ £207
Is this right ??
Intel Pentium® 4 D 940 Dual core 2x3.2GHz 800FSB LGA775 2x2MB cache @ £168
Intel Pentium® 4 D 830 Dual core 2x3.0GHz 800FSB LGA775 2x1MB cache @ £192
Why is the 2x3.2GHz/2x2MB cheaper than the 2 x 3.0GHz2x1MB cpu ?
