dvd drive won't read anything?

have n nec2500 flashed to a nec2510, was working fine for at least 1 DL dvd burn.

now, it won't read any media, dvd-r, dvd+r, or even cd-r. tried putting in a normal CD, same result.

basically the read light goes on, but stops eventually and no disc info shows up in the windows view. any ideas?

update: i put a cd in and noted the orientation, after the drive tries to read it, i take it out and it's still the same...

tried that, still not doing anything. will probably just get a new drive.

Try switching IDE/SATA cables connecting the drive to your motherboard.
