DVD Drive HELP

To check if the BIOS recognizes it correctly, reboot the computer, and immediately after you hear the startup beep, you'll see the Numlock, Caps lock and scroll lock lights blink. As soon as they do, start taping the Delete key. This will bring you into BIOS. Look through there a bit and you'll see your DVD drive listed somewhere. It's usually under the very first catagory on the BIOS menu. (If you have an OEM computer like Dell or something, it may be F2 or something instead of delete. The very first screen you see when you turn on your computer will tell you how to get into the menu, somewhere if neither of those two buttons work.)

Go get to device manager, go to start->control panel->system->hardware->device manager. Look under DVD/CD ROM Drives.
