DVD>Desktop?

I'm trying to make a music video of sorts, and am trying to take a segment of video from a DVD movie and convert it to something thats viewable on my desktop. Is there any program that can do this for me free? (I know about DIKO, but it saids thats vice versa, going from Divx/Xvid to DVD).

Note: If its of any importance, I'm going to be using Windows Movie Maker to make the music video, since I can't afford anything high-tech like Sony Acid.

you'll need something like dvd decrypter to get the files decrypted and ripped to your computer. If Movie Maker can read unencrypted vob files directly, then you're good to go with your editing. Otherwise, use something like super converter to transcode the vobs into mpeg2 files.
