DVD Decryptor Problems

I have ripped my Family guys to my HDD using the IFO mode of DVD Decryptor. I'm ripping these so that I can encode them in H.264 and stream to my Xbox 360. The problem is that the video appears to be interlaced right off the disc. It is pretty noticeable when watching and doesn't seem to be in the DVD's, but shows up in the VOB files spit out by DVD Decryptor. I got a few screens showing whats going on.

Some of the family guy DVD's have video artifacts like field tearing. It basically looks like bad interlaced artifacts.

What program are you going to use to encode them to x264?

I never noticed them before on any of my SDTVs, is that just because they picture isn't good enough to notice on those screens?

Have MeGUI analyze the source(on the filters tab), you'll have to deinterlace/telecine it.

If your dvd player is a progressive scan player, it would take care of this problem while you're watching it.

MeGUI always says it can't determine what type the source is, even if I check "source is Anime"

I think you're out of luck. It seems to be a poor encoding job by the dvd ppl.
