DVD Decrypter

I've always liked DVDShrink. Not sure if it's still being worked on, but it pretty much works for me so i don't care.

Decrypter works for me. As for the new Sony-BMG products - in my world,m they don't exist. 🙂

Also, there are some pretty good hardware solutions as well. Check out the "Videographer."

I didn't even realize there were DVDs that DVD Decrypter couldn't handle. I guess I don't own any of those because it's always worked great for me

I've not run into any recent discs that DVD Decrypter couldnt' handle. DVD Shrink often can't rip newer stuff these days.

Like others have mentioned, I've been using DVD Decrypter you years and have never run into a DVD it couldn't...well...decrypt. I guess I haven't run into the new protection schemes.

Has always been the best, but doesn't do the latest security features, since it isn't being developed anymore.

sony, those bastardsss.

I thought it was a legal threat from Macromedia that did them in?

Edit: Link

Also try AnyDVD. It has worked for me, when Shrink and Decrypter didn't.

Or give Hollywood the finger and only buy porn DVDs. Most porn companies don't use copy protection, or regional coding.

I believe he's talking about the new encryption methods that DVD Decrypter cannot do. I'm not sure where the legal threats to the author came from originally.

AnyDVD for the newer protection and DVD Decrytor if you only want to rip older movies. Sony keeps on releasing new protections, so, there's only so much that DVDD can work in the future releases. Those $ony bastards!
