1 quick question: my laptop in the office has a TEAC DVD/CD-ROM drive. I tried to play a movie but it didn't recognize it, so i'm pretty much sure it has no decoder installed. Is there a decoder out there that i can download for free and, is there a way my admin will notice it if i install it? TIA

You need a software player such as PowerDVD. You can't just go opening DVDs in Media Player AFAIK.
