DVD Decoder for Vista?

VLC works however it has to go into Aero Basic mode when playing videos

I'm enjoying built in DVD decoding with my laptop's copy of Home Premium quite a bit. My desktop has Business and I'm considering the purevideo decoder. I like the idea of a small installed decoder rather than some bulky dvd player app.
