DVD Copying Software

For those of you that have a DVD Burner, what software do you use to copy DVD's? My dad bought one for himself about a month ago and has been using DVD X Copy to burn copies of his DVD's but lately it's been acting really weird. At first he had no trouble at all but now whenever he try's to copy a DVD it comes up with an error saying that there is corrupt data and it aborts. I think it might be the software so I was just wondering what other software else is out there that works well.

BTW the burner he has is a Sony DRU 500AX, could that maybe be it?
