dvd copy

i can't copy a dvd without having to not have any playback problems/dvd player playback

i used some free software programs, but i'm having trouble with them, please help

Which ones are you using? IMHO, it doesn't get any easier than DVD Shrink (and DVD Decrypter for burning).

What type of media are you using (-R, +R, etc)? It sounds like your standalone DVD player may not be able to read the type of media you are using.

I use dvd shrink + nero when I can. if the dvd doesn't rip directly with shrink, I resort to decrypter.
