DVD Copy Software .....Hot if it works...

This would compress the video stream and makes a VCD out of a DVD. Lower quality image. 4+ gigs of data gets turned into 700megs. You also lose the 5.1 audio. But I don't know if it really works.

i wouldn't be surprised if this is a referrel site either. i'm not saying the poster would be the one making money, but there are affiliates out there spamming everyone and popping up windows to get in on the action.

This is not a hot deal, you can get these types of s/w free if you search google....
It can also be converted into Divx, where the video is compressed like VCD...........
it takes years to perform the conversion.....
but again, does it work? I dunno 😀

Divx does work. But like you said it takes a while to extract the video. It takes on average 2 cd's / dvd movie. My system is an athlong 1.4Ghz with 512MB ram and with nothing else running it takes OVER an hour to just extract enough frames to complete 1/2 the movie. The vcd's that you then create with nero will work in most dvd players. Picture quality is about equivilant to vhs at this point...

the program does work, but it takes a while. if you just want to copy a dvd to your harddrive then use a ripper like smart ripper. and remember if you are making a copy of a porn dvd, just copy and paste onto your harddrive. 99% of porn has no copy protection so you can use them just like a regular file. Also most movies are so big that even after ripping the dvd, once you consider the time , expense and effort put into it, your better off just buying the dvd.its cheaper and less headaches

I agree this should be locked.....all software is free.

However, 2 hour movies can be compressed to ~700MB and look like DVD quality. Especially with the new DivX 5.0 codec. But then you need to pay to use the advanced features on that too. Do we see a pattern here?

Found on google....................

Lock this B*tch

>Looks like a trap for the gullible to me!

On the web site http://www.italiadvd.it/forum/343.shtml you can find the
following message by Dr. Marco A.G.Pinto, from Europe/Portugal:

That software called "dvd-squeeze" is a fraud. The real software is called
EasyDivX ( http://easydivx.does.it ) and I am a member of the official team.

These guys are violating the law by changing the title of EasyDivX and
selling it commercially as if it was done by them.

I have been making some calls and legal action should be taken against them
if they don't compensate at least the real coder of the software.

agreed, Lock the damn thing, been doing this for years with free programs. Unless it can rip, compress and burn in under 20 minutes 🙂

Mods,

please lock for the lamest deal since the GPS computers "deal".

Heck this might be lamer than any post even promoting or protecting Billy Grahm...

Whoo hoo.

Thanks

i dont know why but sometimes its as if these forums go downhill in the quality of posts by some people
selling free dvd ripping software? that is funny... go here...

http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/dvd_utils_5.shtml

Hell ... some guy last nigh was posting about someone selling info on how to make hundreds of thousands
of dollars on Ebay .... what kind of idiots have some people become...

Don't even worry about this guys, I got similar email in my hotmail inbox every hour, saying if you pay $30, the seller will tell you how to copy DVD movie, PS2 game, only idiots will PayPal him that money. It is obviously a scam. Want to copy DVDs? Go get a DVD-R/RW now if you have the money, or wait later when the standard comes. A DVD burner cost around $400, this scam cost you $30 (plus your time), you do the math.

Here is the spamer's email address, flood him if you care: backuponcd@hotmail.com

DVD2SVCD is the best...This is a slick wrapper around an entire
suite of sophisticated software for ripping a DVD to an SVCD.
It allows lots of customization, but for the novice, you need only
set the working directory paths and go...

Here's a link.

Don't waste your time with other stuff. This is the way to go.

Note: Although DVD2SVCD makes it EASY to make very high quality
SVCDs (you will be amazed at how good the SVCDs you make with
DVD2SVCD are...no need for DiVx, and you'll never go back to standard
VCD), you need the following: Approximately 10Gb free space (usually
less, but this is a reasonable upper bound); 8-24 hours for the
process, depending on your processor speed and the length of the
movie.

Kwad

yep, I think DVD2SVCD is the best, especially for newbie. Very easy, just couple clicks then go to bed hehehehe later on you will have couple image files, burn it and enjoy
