Dvd copy program

Anybody know of a program that can copy a dvd from a dvd-rom to your hard drive or maybe crunch it onto a cd-r? Has to be free and not a trial. Let me know what there is! Thanks.

DVD Decrypter for rippping to the HD

DVD2SVCD to convert to SVCD format (can be put on a CD-R)
Dr. Divx or FairUse to convert to Dix format (can be put on a CD-R)

Obviously, you'd need a player that can play one of the above formats.

i would suggest dvdshrink, but it more for dvd not cd

If windows media classic can play the format then I am good with that. If I can put it on a cd-r that would be great, or maybe it would be better to use dvdshrink (as I have used it before) and then use a program to somehow fit it on a cd-r.
