DVD burning software and quality?

Whats the best software out for burning DV to a DVD and not losing any quality? A co worker of mine is using iDVD on a Mac, but the quality seems to be a little poor. Actually its very poor. Is it the software or is it something she's just doing wrong?

It all depends on how in depth you want to get with the capture and conversion. You can find some very good info here.
Hope this helps,

What is your definition of poor? In a side by side comparison DVD will always look like @ss compared to DV because DV is about 4x the data rate.
