DvD Burning nOOb

Hello all, finally got my new computer up and running

My last computer [Dell deminsion 8100] Struggled to burn cds..
So I suppose im a little behind the times here...

I'm assuming a DvD would need a differant/bigger cd than the normal 50 for $20 pack?
