DVD burners, which do you use?

I'm thinking of getting the a Pioneer or Cendyne DVD burner and was wondering what software you use to burn your disks. I don't mean mean copying movie DVD's, more like transfering captured analog video to DVD. How is the bundled software with these burners?

I decided to get in on the Cendyne 4x DVD-R deal. Funny how it shows up as a Pioneer drive in my computer 🙂 Anyway, burned a full data dvd in about 30 minutes (2x media). Looking to get a good deal on some 4x media.

The Cendyne drive is a generic Pioneer drive. They've got the same hardware. I found that out the day after I ordered my Pioneer drive 🙁. Oh well.

We got Pioneer A04's at the studio that I work at, they burn at 2.4X about 2 hrs for a full 4.7gb not incl render times. If I were to but a new drive right now I would get the Sony 500, its a good drive, we gotta demo unit here, it burns in all formats DVD-+R(W) and its a fater drive as well.

What lite on model is out right now and at what price? Guess I need to dig around on pricewatch some more.

Also, what is the cost per disc on good quality 4x media? I guess that could make part of the decision
