I'm planning on buying a new dvd burner and i'm wondering which 1 is the best... I'm looking for a fast good quality burn....but im willing to give up speed for better quality...i was looking at the enw sony, pioneer and lg burner (dual layer) but can't figure out which ones best....thx for the help
 
Another vote for the NEC. You just have to use the "hacked" firmware from www.cdfreaks.com's forums to get the most out of it. You can always flash back to the original if you have any RMA issues. If you use +R exclusively, BenQ is another good one, as it burns slightly faster than the NEC in +r, but the -R is horrendous.
