DVD Burner problem

I have a Optiarc A7190A DVD/CDROM Drive. It is about two years old. Lately when I insert a new CD or DVD it immediately shows that the disc is full. It has a system driver and I can't update it. Can this be fixed or should it just be replaced?

i would just buy new burner, newegg has a bunch of great ones for under $30
