Hey, i just dled the newest Nero and i have the 2.16 FW for my new NEC 2510A dual layer DVD burner. I can successfully burn normal cds, and data dvds, but when i go to burn a movie dvd.... I add the files in nero express, but it never un-grays the burn button. Its the same type of dvd i burned data on, but it will not burn it as a dvd that can my played in a dvd player. Any ideas?

What type file are you attempting to drag into the window in nero express? You need to drag *.vob, *.ifo and *.bup files into the folder labeled Video_TS. You can not drag an avi or mpeg file directly there. If you want to save the hassle of converting a file use nero vision express 2. let me know exactly how you got the video and what format it is so i can help you more.

You need the above file types and in a certain folder..for example: Audio_TS and Video_TS folders.

Do you have those two folders??

You need to give more info on the type of DVD you are trying to "backup" and what you have done so far..example, have you ripped it to HD....etcetera

The other way to burn DVDs is to have ISO image files....i doubt you are doing this.

Well, if you are using DVD Shrink, do these steps and see if that works:

1. Get the latest DVD Shrink.
2. When you backup - either create Video_TS and Audio_TS folders OR create an ISO image.
3. Put the files from these folders into the respective folders in Nero.

That should work.

If not..burn an ISO image and use DVD Decrypter to burn it...I never really like Nero anyways.

Let us know if that works

I always liked to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. If you did not puut all the files in the video_ts folder then it is more than likely the problem. Try putting all the files dvd shrink ripped for you and put them in the video_ts folder and let us know how that helps
