DVD Authoring

The topic summary pretty much says it.

I can burn using basic Nero Burning Rom software, or just about anything else. What I need is something on the authoring side to help me convert my own movies from different sources to the correct format and setup the correct directory structure and all that good stuff so I can burn it as something that'll play on a standard DVD player.

What do I need for this? Just a good shove in the right direction will do if there is a site with the info and links to some software titles to help me out.

That's what I was looking for, thanks... Knew someone would give me some kind of reply at least. Suprised it didn't come up when I was googling for some info earlier today. Oh well...
