DV Video: Sound off sync

I made a dvd on iDVD for school project and for some reason when i play it on a dvd player.. the soound is a bit off sync from the actual video.. When I do previw on idvd it looks and sounds fine, however when i play it on a standalone it gets off sync. Im not sure why this is, is it the program or my hardware?

I would suggest looking here firstApple support. Either do a search in the knowledge base and/or click "join discussion" and hit the iDVD forum. Sync being off has more than one cause.
