Shrug. If it was a strain of the flu, it'd be viral. If its valley fever, its fungal. In either case, antibiotics are worthless.

However, I am sure they got paid. I'm sure that's a plus in their book.

it's for avoiding secondary infections.

There's no empirical evidence that proves antibiotics prevent secondary infections.
