Dust in PSU...best way to clean it?

I bought a new psu (Corsair 550w) and I'm very happy with the PSU, but I'm worried about dust that will collect in it. With my old psu (Rosewill 500w) I opened it up and used a compressed air can and cleaned it all out, but with this PSU there is a 5 year warranty and if I open it, like many other items, the warranty is void. What is the best way to clean dust from the PSU? Just shoot air through the grating? What about dust that is trapped inside? Does it matter?

Yea or hold a vacuum cleaner up to it so it spins the fan and pulls dust out. You won't get all of it or course, but unless the thing starts overheating, it doesn't matter.

What about using filters used in vacuum cleaners or home ventilations? You can cut the filter sheet to fit onto the PSU surface, or you can even use women's stockings for the same purpose, to prevent the dust intake, and replace the filter every few months. You might need to use some kind of frame to prevent electricity issues (preventing direct contact of the filter material with the PSU's metal surface). though.

Could just open it up and vacuum it. It's probably the best way. You wont get very much through the grating. Alot of the dust is stuck to the fans. Here's inside of mine after 2 years, theres more dust on the smaller fan which never got cleaned until yesterday. http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/SonicIce/psu.jpg

The point is he doesn't want to open it and void his warranty...

Also it's very dangerous.

Get a can of air that has a straw that comes with it. Just stick the straw through the fan grill and spray away.

The important thing in power supplies is to keep the Heat Sink Fins clean
or dust / dirt ... Compressed air should be able to do the job easily.
