I just cleaned my case the other day. WOW, so much dust. Anyone know of a good dust/air filter I can put in front of my two fans that sucking in air on my Antec 1030?

Thanks.

Well, in the past I've improvised one- a couple of layers of pantyhose will do the trick nicely.

They have fan filters at all the major cooling stores.

2cooltek
plycon
etc.

At a home improvement store like home depot I got air filter sheets I cut to size and fit over my intake fan. For lots of filtering you can mount it over a metal mesh filter.

The one problem I had was the filter rubbing on the fan blade so I used a wire finger gaurd.

The I mounted the fan was using those wire hiders also at home depot. They have a sticky side and I just cut it and put it on both sides of the fan. The filters then just slide in place since it works like a split loom.

I got no dust collection in the case but the fans got louder.

I have the same case, and I don't think these will mount in front of the intake fans. These filters require being screwed in and "sandwiched" on top of the fan. But as you know, the intake fans in the Antec SX10x0B cases do not screw in anywhere, but are held by suspension clips which will not accomodate the above kind of filter (much to my dismay). I'll try cutting up some pantyhose...

I picked up some of the filters similar to the ones linked in PliotronX's post at Fry's the other day... They would not fit in the fan 'box' that directs the air on either either an Antec SX830 or an Enlight 7237 case. They are just ever so slightly too large.

How does this affect the air flow? I would expect it to be cut down quite a bit. I might rather clean the dust out every once in a while than warm up my computer, as it already runs too hot.
