Duron700 problem

I have just installed a week 41 Duron 700 on a QDI K7T motherboard, I have connected all 4 of the L1 bridges but cannot get the system to use anything other than a 7x multiplier, where am I going wrong?
I have joined the bridges with conductive paint (the type used for heated rear screen repair on a car) and my multimeter indicates that the bridges are closed.
If I try a lower multiplier the system wont boot at all (no display etc), If I set to 7.5x or above (I have tried up to 9x) the machine boots at 700.
Have AMD started using some other multiplier lock?
The system runs fine at 7x107 for 749mhz with a CPU temp of 28C so I am optimistic that I will get a good boost if I can sort out the multiplier lock.

Any ideas apreciated

Check those L1 bridges VERY carefully under a good magnifying glass and make sure that you didn't accidentally connect two of the bridges. If you did, use a pin or other small point to carefully scrape away the excess paint between the bridges...

If he tested them with a multimeter, the bridges are connected. I suspect that the QDI mobo is the problem.
