As i read through all the forums, i can't help but notice how many people have Durons overclocked to 900mhz+. I was just wondering where you guys bought these chips. I have a GlobalWin FOP32-1 and was thinking of getting a Duron w/ the Pro2-A. So where'd you guys get your chips?

bought mine at allstarshop.com

took a gamble I guess because it doens't have any warranty that it'll overclock well.

My 600 Duron is now running at 970 Mhz rock stable.

Got my Duron 650 blue core, week 38, from iCompz.com for $44. I have yet to test it, but I will be firing it up in a few hours.

I bought mine for a little local Mom-n-Pop place.
When I bought my Celerons, I was more particular, because
there was a good chance someone had already tested the parts,
and taken all the good ones. Those L1 bridges on the AMDs
are a blessing in disguise. I think the chances that the
stores are doing any pretesting is very slim.

I asked the guy at the computer shop if he'd tried overclocking
any of his Durons, or if he was aware of any of his customers
overclocking. He said that he'd never tried it, but was
curious. I showed him the bridges and how it was done.
Even here around Austin, which has lots of little computer
stores and lots of computer nerds, I think the vast majority
of computers are being bought by people who just want it to
work. The overclockers are a very small minority.

I got my _unlocked_ Duron 650 from Thompsons Computer Warehouse, on pricewatch. Runs at 900 @ 1.85v/3.40v.
