I've never owned a duron or any AMD CPU before so I'm clueless on overclocking them. Let's say I have your average Duron 700 and a Vantec heatsink/fan.

How high should I expect to overclock 100% stable?
And will I need to use some kind of unlocking technique to do so...
and will PC133 generic RAM work?

thanks

you oughta be able to get fairly high on a duron 700...i'd say 800 is a given, 900 usually, 1ghz maybe :)

install motherboard monitor, so you can check up on your temps...

PC133 generic should be fine- durons run on a 100mhz bus...so unless you get that duron running fsb near 150...memory wont even be one of your primary concerns :)

Yes, you'll need to fix the L1 bridges. I'd highly recommend a conductive pen or conductive epoxy to handle it, but a good old pencil will do the trick for "testing" purposes. :D

FWIW, there isn't any set number. Just see how far she'll go, in small increments.
