Duron heat question

A quality 300w PSU is plenty for even a 1.3 Morgan core, as to the HS/F I use the GC68 it's mirror polished and with ASII (haven't bothered switching to ASIII as I see no need and I already have the ASII 😉 ) and even with my 1ghzMorgan@133x9=1.2ghz 1.85v it never gets over 44c under heavy load and sits @40-41c crunching SETI. It's less than 10$ shipped and comes just like in the pic, no need to add a fan or grill in the options boxes. BTW the SVC 80mm fan it ships with is no louder than my case fans so it's a very quite solution compared to my old Delta 38cfm.

I had a Duron 600 and then a Duron/Morgan 1000. They both ran cool compared to my new T-Brid 1.4. I've used an average Taisol hsf with all three and never had a problem. When I installed the T-Bird, case cooling and vcore also factored in. In any case, you should have no heat or power problems with a Duron.

Durons run pretty damn hot for a value processor, so hot that I avoid them, they just aren't worth it if you ask me.

if ru worried about temperature or wasting electricity, just use any cpu idle program like VCool and it'll keep ur cpu cool while ur doing things non-intensive liek checking e-mail. that way ur only wasting the juice when ur sniping ppl in counsterstrike
