Duron 800 & Abit KT7a GeForce2MX(Hercules) Lock Up at cca 42C

I Just got a brand new Abit KT7A and a Duron 800. First Time i tried running Project IGI it locked Up after just a minute or so. Then I watched the temp. which rose very rapidly from 32 to 42C and than a LOCK UP. Happened every time also in Colin Mcrae 2 and Quake 3 Team Arena DEMO. What Is Going On Here? Any help would be very wellcome.
