Duron 700 to a gig??

I got the duron 700 and pencil thing working. Seems best I can do is 900 Mhz stable (W/O upping the FSB. When I up FSB I can get it to 109 before it gets flakey. I have not tweaked the voltage yet. 10X100 will not even post. 9.5 X 100 will not post completely. I am pleased with 900 Mhz but I was wondering about the 950 and 1 gig speeds. I have an ASUS A7V and a Sanyo Kenki HSF.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.
Is my pencil job sufficient because it unlocked or do I need to redo it to make it behave better?

TIA

If your running stock voltage and you hit 900, I would say that's great, knock up the voltage a bit and a G wouldn't be too far out of reach.

what concerns me is the fact that at 10 X 100 it would not post. What voltage is reccomended?

up the voltage to the lowest increment you have until it becomes stable at the next speed, then push the speed up again. rinse and repeat ;)

From what I've read here on the forums, you have to find a fsb that works. Try 10x105, 9.5x110, etc to find one that works well.

Jeeze, mine wouldn't post that high @ default.
I just had to up mine to 1.85 volts because it was having odd, ocasional crashes @ 1.8.
Oh well..

sounds like my chances are pretty good then.
Stock voltage and Prime 95 Ran overnight without a glitch.

Gonna do some fiddling with 9.5 Mult tomorrow.
Thanks for the info
