Duron 700 Compared to C550 ??

I am thinking about upgrading to a Duron 700 or 750 and hopefully getting it to overclock. how would a Duron 750 MHZ compare to my setup now celeron 366@ 550 MHZ think i will notice some more speed in real world????

I think it would be a pretty good speed increase. Especialy if overclocked.

A Duron 700 would kill your Celeron 550 at 700, but a 700 should hit 900 easy so I say go for it.

I'd say it depends what you are doing with your PC.. 🙂

Using Word etc, it won't really make any difference at all.. 🙂

Read into all the posts about Duron based systems - it's not always a simple transplant there are a LOT of people out there with many problems getting a Duron based system to run.

If your get an easy one you will be very pleased with the result for the cost.. 🙂

Otherwise - you'll be really p*ssed off!

if you need gaming speed and you upgrade to a duron 700 and oc in the 900+ range, that v3 will be a ball and chain.
