Duron 700 Compared to C550 ??

I am thinking about upgrading to a Duron 700 or 750 and hopefully getting it to overclock. how would a Duron 750 MHZ compare to my setup now celeron 366@ 550 MHZ think i will notice some more speed in real world????

I think it would be a pretty good speed increase. Especialy if overclocked.

A Duron 700 would kill your Celeron 550 at 700, but a 700 should hit 900 easy so I say go for it.

I'd say it depends what you are doing with your PC..

Using Word etc, it won't really make any difference at all..

Read into all the posts about Duron based systems - it's not always a simple transplant there are a LOT of people out there with many problems getting a Duron based system to run.

If your get an easy one you will be very pleased with the result for the cost..

Otherwise - you'll be really p*ssed off!

if you need gaming speed and you upgrade to a duron 700 and oc in the 900+ range, that v3 will be a ball and chain.
