Duron 600MHz temperatures...

I'm running a Duron 600MHz at 660MHz on my MSI K7T Pro (the only way to overclock is through the FSB, and since my RAM is only PC-100 it can't take anything above 113MHz) at 37 C. Usually around 34 - 35 C. at 600MHz. Are these good temperatures?

I'm going to be getting an MSI K7T Pro2 in a few days and I want to know if I have a good chance of overclocking it to about 850-900MHz. I have a 5500 RPM fan with a standard Duron heatsink that I got at Fry's for $14. What temperature does your Duron usually run at?

Your current temperatures sound fine. Anything below 50C (some say 60C) should be within limits.

You may want to get a better HSF if you plan to OC further with you new mobo though. These things can get pretty hot.

I would think that you would be able to hit at least 850, unless you have a chip from week 22 or something real early. If its a later week, 900 isn't that unreasonable either. Good luck.

My Duron 600 is 33C @ 600 mhz with the standard hsf. It goes to 48C at 900 mhz. Just ordered a Global WIn FOP-32
