Wow...havent posted for a long time...anyways....Got a Duron 600 and it running at 1000mhz....just wonder what are the temperature spects of the duron...cuz my chip on idle is 38C with GW FOP38....thx

38C should be fine for what you're running. Try running with high CPU utilization for a while too (if you already haven't, sounds like you know what you're doing).

Nice setup. 😀

I read on the AMD website that the new socketA Tbirds and Durons can withstand a max of 90c. I don't know if this is true or not. 90c seems EXTREMELY hot though. In my opinion I'd say keep it under 60c and ur fine.

K...under load hits the high point of 43 C once, and 42 degree average...not bad...also...where in the world did you find 90C operational temp??? I couldnt find anything on the operational temp. BTW, does anyone know if Rain or waterfall still works with the duron??? cuz I cant seem to get any results.

AMD Socket A cores are rated to take 90C Peak.

Your particular chip, depending on voltage, would run anywhere from 20-24C over ambient case temp(full load). If you're using a later Abit Bios(while still not accurate, gives a much closer representation of what your cpu core temp would be), then you're temps are pretty darn good.
