ijusst got this cpu a few weeks back for my data server, nothing special.
so i took the wining fan off the cputo seehow hot itwould run, went up to like 65 under no load (and i have a well ventilated case).
currenlty with no fan, just case fan air flow over and voltages reduced to 1.425V, it runs at 57 load in prime 95
not too bad.
does anyone know how low of a voltage can be used at 1.6ghz, has anyone tried?
