Sweet, bought 2 packs. Don't have much that runs on AAs anymore, but the 360 controllers and gaming mouse will be happy.

Couple weeks ago woot had a deal on these, but I don't recall if it was better.

I've heard the version 3 eneloop is due out very soon, could be why we are seeing some discounts.

I think that was on AAAs only, a huge pack.

No guarantee, just based on what they've sent recently. The Rayovacs are pretty decent batteries, too.

The rechargeables you listed have higher capacity but the main advantage of Eneloop batteries is that they hold charge very well while idle.

BTW there are numerous brands with higher capacity than Eneloops.

I have a set of Eneloop XX 2400mAh batteries and they have been awesome so far. I use them in my camera. I've used my camera off and on for a few months and I have been using the same pair the whole time. I haven't had to recharge them again yet nor move to the second pair.

Any recommendations on a charger for these?

The battery websites and forums seem like a dark cult around a few models.

Any help appreciated.

I'm just using the charger that mine came with. Sure it is a basic slow charger, but it does charge individually and tell me the status of each battery, plus slow charging is better for longevity anyway.

my use is steady drain so they get charged every week or so.

the 1000 recharge factor is helpful with the higher cap battery I use. still 6.52 is a good price.

I don't have these exact batteries, but I have a Lacrosse BC-900 charger which I really like. I didn't see the BC-900 on Amazon, but they have other Lacrosse models which may have replaced the 900.

I have the LaCrosse BC700 for charging the AA/AAA's upstairs. I've checked it against my much more capable but utterly perplexing for my wife, RC battery charger (a Thunder Power TP820CD) and the BC700 does a good job.
