Duracell 8 pack C batteries for $2.20 at Amazon

It will be a bigger initial investment, but you could go with rechargeables to save money/the enviroment.

Batteries:
BatterySpace.com (Powerizer Brand)
All-Battery.com (Tenergy brand)
Chargers:
BatterySpace.com
All-Battery.com

The two sites look very similar, so it might actually be the same company selling two different "brands" of batteries. I have bought from both; I have been using powerizer batteries for over a year and I recently just got the tenergy batteries, which also seem fine. It looks like for under $50 shipped, you could buy 10 C-cell NIMH batteries and a charger. If you use devices that need C-cells a lot, you will save money in the long run.

Case in point: my brother and I both own wireless keyboards/mice. He went the cheaper route and bought a keyboard/mouse combo that did not have a charger for the mouse and used regular batteries for the keyboard. In this time, he has probably spent $50 on AA batteries for the mouse, since it eats them. This is more than the difference in price between my wireless desktop and his. I bought him a battery charger/batteries combo and now he doesn't have this problem.
