Dungeon Siege? Yay or Nay?

Yeah, that looks like a great game. It will probably lower my GPA by 0.5 or so. Perhaps that should be a ratings system.
Bad = 0.0
Okay = 0.1-0.2
Good = 0.2-0.3
Great = 0.4-0.5
And so forth.

This looks to be an awesome game, I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna buy it when it comes out, especially if BB or someplace has it for a good price.

For those of you who are looking for a good deal on this, go to GameStop.com because they have it for $37.99 (preorder) with a free mini-guide. The price is good until noon tomorrow. I just posted it in hot deals.

You people are EVIL! Just went to GameStop and ordered it online.

Resistance is futile, I have been assimilated.

anyone know what the real-world requirements are for this game? and when it is due to be released?

I will be in stores on April 5. I should be getting my copy directly from Microsoft on or about that date...for free! Woohoo me! 😀

The voodooextreme guys thought the beta game was a great technology demo, but was short on story line. I think it will be a blast in MP, probably not up Baldurs Gate II's standard in single-play.

I have high hopes for this game. Won't be BG2 calibur as far as role playing goes, but will undoubtedly be a blast in single player, and MP. The graphics are stunning, and no loading screens, ever!

I will be buying it but looking forward to Morrowind more then Dungeon Siege,so I will leave the "Yay or Nay" until I`ve played it.

🙂

I will be picking it up on Friday.🙂
I created a poll about Dungeon Siege, Morrowind, and Neverwinter Nights.
Do a search and vote if you have a sec.

I went to a Microsoft .NET event tonight (not the big one where you're garunteed free software, but a smaller one). They were giving away three copies of Dungeon Siege. The guy from Microsoft said that he heard about it a year ago, and has been waiting because it was supposedly really good. Of course, this guy gets paid by MS, so maybe he has some interest in telling us how good it is. Too bad I didn't win one, or I'd chime in. Mine shipped today from Gamestop though. I think it's gonna be great.

So how is the game (for those who got it). Mine was supposed to arrive yesterday but stupid fedex messed up and so it is coming monday.

Darn it, guys! Stop making me want this game!!! I had never even heard of/wanted/waited for this game until eveyone started talking about it. But, now that I look at it, it looks pretty cool! I'm really trying to hold out for Neverwinter Nights, though. Why don't I just buy both? Well, out of the 70+ games that I've bought, I've probably only ever installed around 20 of them. Yeah, I'm one of THOSE people. At least I usually play them from start to finish! 😉

I got it & its okay so far. There is a bug that wont let you run the game with Quincunx enabled on Geforce cards(antialiasing has become my new favorite thing since I got a GF4)-hopefully it will get fixed

I got my copy a coupla days before it was released and have been playing it non-stop ever since (though multiplayer through the Microsoft Gaming Zone wasn't available until the April 5 launch date). Dungeon Siege surpasses all expectations despite the hype surrounding the release of this game.

One thing to note: the game isn't especially exciting when you only control one character, but as your party grows the game gets much better. Large battles are truly a sight to behold, and the graphics are simply stunning even on a lower-end video card (ATI Radeon 7500). Dungeon Siege is easily the best game of 2002 so far.
