Dungeon Siege III - Excitement?

I vaguely remember playing the first game but never touched the second. The third installment comes out later this month and my love of dungeon crawlers has my Amazon-Finger (just what it sounds like) getting twitchy.

Haven't read too much in the way of previews for it - have you?

I'm curious but I'm also cautious. I really haven't seen enough gameplay for me to buy this just yet. I'll wait for some user reviews.

I may pick it up if my friends do. #1 was great because we were in college and played LAN games as a diversion from D2/Starcraft. #2 was not as fun because I played it solo and it's been uninstalled after wasting 40+ hours on it.

This as well.

I'm craving for a new ARPG. I have Sacred 2 but didn't get into it even though it has lots of potential.

I might as well reinstall Titan Quest/IT and play through it again.

“Be sure to download the Dungeon Siege III demo on the Xbox 360 on May 31st, 2011. The demo will be available on June 7th for the PS3 and PC via Steam"

Played the original; I wasn't terribly impressed; I believe I beat it, but I really didn't enjoy it to my recollection. In fact, I wonder why I beat it; prolly because I was a college student at the time and wanted my money's worth.

Anyhow, since I wasn't terribly impressed with DS, I skipped over DSII and played Titan Quest instead.

Now i"m more interested in Torchlight II . . ..

I have, and it is enough to have me not buying it.

#1 and #2 I purchased, #1 I did not finish as the interface ticked me off (the way it moved between selected characters).

#2 I stopped as I started to get sick of the spawning enemy (but still clocked alot of hours on it).

#3 appears to be more solo/console interface instead of the team that was #1 and #2.

Looking for Torchlight 2 to tide me over to diablo 3.

Had fun with the first two titles, with a few friends. Wasn't fun enough to play alone, and we bought 'em due to lack of alternative coop games at the time.

Average Diablo clones, but haven't read anything about the next game, yet.

Just played the 360 demo and... yeah. Not really liking this one. It doesn't feel like a Dungeon Siege game at all screams of very vanilla and generic to me. Maybe someone else here will like it but I can't see see myself buying this one until it's $10 on Steam.

This, very much so. Kinda boring too, actually.

I have to agree as well. The whole thing has a low-budget feel to it. It doesn't suck nearly as hard as Daggerdale, but it's definitely meh.

Guess we'll be waiting for Torchlight 2 and Diablo 3 to get some real dungeon-crawling, loot-whoring satisfaction.

I'm with you OP. I bought the package on steam a while back. Waiting on it to be unlocked very soon. Not a bad game at all.

I have hopes for this game as I would really like a good hack/slash RPG. I played DS I and II and liked them, especially the second game.

Too bad about the comments on the demo. They are not a good sign. Also, the last Chris Taylor games, Space Seige and Supreme Commander 2 were not exactly high quality games.

What is happening to action RPGs??? First Dragon Age 2 (although I did play it through and it was OK but not great), now maybe Dungeon Seige is going downhill and Iron Lore (Titan Quest) went out of business. Kind of a sad state of affairs.

I quite probably will get DS3 eventually. It just depends on the reviews/player comments whether I get it right away or wait until the price goes down to the 30.00 range.

I wouldn't get it till it's in the $10-15 price range. It's nothing like DS1/2, and IMO that's a bad thing.

I liked Space Siege, myself. DS1/2 in SPACE! with cyborgs.

I splurged and got the 3 pack way back when. Was nice to have 1 and 2 so cheap. Good fun.
3 looks generic but I will play it anyway.

I bought, played and finished both 1 and 2, as well as the expansion pack for 2. Put a huge amount of time into it, but if 3 isn't like those then its a waste of my time.

I may try the demo, but I am not expecting good things.

Play 1 and 1.5 alot still to this day, Thought chr gfx detailing is low the other affects of the landscaping and the looks of the weapons is are amazing and not seen in other games, Ive always liked the lvl scaling at what you do is what you gain idea.

DSII introduced just as much as the previous and also had its quarks but I still like it.
DS2.5 Total crap mix up, But I do like how it fits the total DS timelines.
DS3 I will play but Im sadden that they are moving away from the multi chr RTS

I lost interest as soon as I found out that playing ONLINE will allow only the host to gain equipment/xp. Officially retarded.

Finished and liked the 1st. (Played it after finished up on TQ and craved for something similar.)
Never played the 2nd.
3rd, might get it when it goes on sale at Steam for <$5.

Would rather spend the money on Diablo 3.

Are you serious?? The only thing worse than a half-baked dungeon crawler is a half-baked dungeon crawler with no loot or experience points.
