It's $3.75 on Steam this weekend and it may be a good time killer. Any thoughts?

Try Grim Dawn 2 (beta), it's made by the guys who brought you Titan Quest. Also as has been said Path of Exile is good if you like online games, GD has MP now but primary focus so far has been SP.

Another option if you haven't tried before is Torchlight 2, it's a quirky RPG made by the guys who made Diablo 1 & 2 with good mod support.

I haven't played Dungeon Siege 3 yet but I do agree with the Grim Dawn and Torchlight 2 recommendations.

Torchlight and Torchlight II are stellar action RPGs.

If you are a fan of Marvel Comics, Marvel Heroes is more like Diablo II than Diablo III despite being a completely different setting. It uses a "Free 2 Play" model, and you can either grind to unlock new heroes or buy them. It is as dangerous to your wallet as a Steam Sale.

Titan Quest is much better than Diablo 2 anyway.
Make sure to get the expansion, adds lots of goodies.

DSIII was pretty terrible IMO. Contrary to most I also didnt like Torchlight 2 that much. Couldnt get past the cartoony graphics and had some lost saves and weird glitches toward the end. It also just got really long.

Titan Quest and Immortal Throne were great, and I actually liked Diablo III as well.

Great suggestions in here... I'll be checking for Steam sales on ALL of them! :D

I'll concur with no to Dungeon Siege III. I finally gave up on the campaign boss. Just too cheap. And I had already beat the expansion and had some pretty sweet gear.

Torchlight 2 doesn't grab me the same after playing Diablo 3. Same with Path of Exile. It's a good Diablo 2 clone, though. And I also say yes to Titan Quest + Immortal Throne.

Going to chime in with Fate. Fate is much older than Torchlight, and has worse graphics, but it's still a great game, and it's much better than Dungeon Siege.

I completely agree with all other recommendations here. All much better games.

Oh and don't forget Deathspank! Stupid and dumb as hell, but if you get it around $3, it's fun and well worth the price. I got it for $2.50 during a sale.

Dang... just remembered about Magicka as well. Nice little game, but don't pay more than $2.50 for it. I bought it for that price and beat almost the whole thing. Great experience.

Fate and Torchlight and Torchlight 2 are fine games. But if you find the graphics annoying then perhaps Titan Quest will feel a little more grown up.

Also, Van Helsing I and II are pretty good as well. Nice visuals, plenty of customization for your character, good variety in missions types.

Be sure to grab the Synergies mod for Torchlight 2. It adds a ton of extra stuff.

If you like the gameplay style of Diablo, might as well check out Marvel Heroes. Some of the original devs that made the original Diablo behind it too, but with all the Marvel super heroey goodness too. And it's F2P.

Seriously Path of Exile. I had a little bit of a rough time getting into it because it feels a bit bland, but that game is a SERIOUSLY GOOD mouse spam action rpg. I haven't tried it, but I would guess Grim Dawn is your next best bet.

Titan Quest for single player.
Path of Exile for Multi player.

Path of Exile will blow your mind if you plan on putting a lot of time into it. There's just so much... so, so much...

DS2 is more similar to D2 than DS3 imo. DS3 is more like a Chronicles of Mystara or Gauntlet type experience. DS2 is more of a traditional hacknslash clickfest lootgame, though some of the party mechanics (almost a la Dragon Age slightly) are pretty decent as well and the story/characters having some good moments.

Except Path of Exile is not action rpg. It is wall street simulator MMO, stay away if you intend to play solo.
