Made by NCSoft, the guys that did Guild Wars. I think it's a cross between Guild Wars and Diablo II. You have general "towns" where you can meet and talk with other people. Then you have instanced combat zones where it's just you and your group.

It's fairly new (Released May 25), and the developers are still working on the game. Like right now, there isn't any player trading and no PvP, but there are plans to implement these features in the future. Max level is 100.

You can play it for free with a 420MB client download. Or you can pay $5/month for more features, like a bank and member only items. I paid for it already seeing as it was just $5. Check it out. I'm on World 7.

I gave it a try last night. Seems decent so far for free, but not worth the $5. And it kind of sucks that you need to pay the $5 to use most of the items. Doesn't really seem any better than Diablo II.

For me not wanting to pay another monthly fee for a game, I doubt i'll be playing it much. Currently pay for Eve.

I'm playing it, seems okay. Like has been mentioned it's not a MMO, it's like Guild Wars with common town areas and instanced dungeons for your party. Random item drops and randomly generated dungeons like Diablo. I like the tongue in cheek humor, like the item names: "Rambunctious Costume Cereal Box Ring of the Conservative Lobster". All the best items require the $5 membership fee to use, as do stackable potions and bank storage.

The other players have been nice, I don't see a lot of insults, spamming, etc. Though the player base is small still.

Quests are a little overwhelming because they let you do so many at once. I had 10 or more at one point. Not too bad I guess since the quest log keeps track of the status and what you've completed. What I find annoying is that there are quest NPCs down in the randomly generated dungeons. If you don't complete the quest in the same game session you started it in, you'll have to go back in to the dungeon and find the NPC all over again.

Overall I think it's worth a try since it's free. At least it's something different than the cookie cutter free Korean MMORPGs.

Played this a couple months back. It's basically a "Bruce Campbell" version of Diablo. Minorly amusing, but definitely WORTH the price (free).

I got the client file but haven't installed it yet.

I hope to try it out tomorrow. I checked out the gameplay video before downloading it, and it looks pretty cool, for being free especially. It's doubtful it'll be a game I really like enough to pay $5/mo for, but hopefully it is fun enough for a while with the free user restrictions (i.e. I hope at least can find some decent items or whatever, just basically not be too limited for being free, which from what I've seen, it is good enough).

From my experience with Guild Wars, NCSoft makes quality games. In regards to technical aspects, it's been nothing but perfect when playing Guild Wars in with the quite optimized engine given the good graphics, never a crash, fast load times, very little lag...overall it just seemed very streamlined and polished. Plus it has been cool that they theme towns and items for Christmas, Halloween, etc.. After taking a long break from when the game came out and I bought it, I started playing again and was pretty impressed with the various additions and changes they made.
