On Oct. 17, Maria Daly reported she had been robbed. Intruders had broken into her house in Millbury, Mass., and made off with some $10,000 in jewelry and other items while she and her husband were asleep, she told police.

...Investigators found that Maria Daly had faked the entire thing — right down to the graffiti — and had managed to squeeze a confession out of her, WCSH reported.

Through careful reflection on the way she faked a burglary and vandalized her home, then blamed it on BLM, I deduced she was neither liberal nor moderate. But I'm not Sherlock Holmes, so I might be mistaken.

This part pissed me off (police spokesman talking about the woman, her husband, the cop and her family):

“I know something like this is devastating on the family,” he said. “I have empathy for the family and the defendant as well — I’m very familiar with her, and it is unfortunate set of circumstances that has taken place.”

Desorey did not comment on the meaning behind the spray-painted “BLM.”

“I did not draw any conclusions to what that would making reference to,” Desorey said.

The poor family may have been going through tough financial times and this led to an "unfortunate set of circumstances", which the police are empathetic about. Regarding the BLM slur, nope, no conclusions are to be drawn.

She's lucky that she wasn't black and trying to frame white people.

I was giving an example of groups even more diametrically opposed than whites and BLMs. Feel free to suggest another real-life example even better if you have one, but I'm pretty sure Nazis vs Jews wins.

That's not a good example at all with regard to Fern's point. (Conservative/liberal/apolitical) I know Jewish people that are staunchly right/conservative (pro Israel etc.), some that are staunchly left/liberal, some that are completely apolitical and don't give two shits about either side....

... ALL hate the living fuck out of Nazis, and if they happened to spray paint a swastika on their synagogue, it wouldn't have a thing to do with being conservative/liberal/apolitical... it'd have to do with their disliking nazis. Nazis hated JEWS, not just jews of a certain political belief.

Hint: I know both conservatives and liberals that aren't particularly fond of BLM, not because racism as the leftloon hivemind has it, but because their motives and tactics have been shown to be sketchy at times.

Most *normal* people hate the KKK and Nazis too, regardless of modern political bent or lack thereof, and also contrary to the leftloon hivemind that sees the world very narrow-mindedly.

It's good to know that the hysteria is maybe just as ridiculous as it always has been, and maybe it's just recency bias that has us in fits.

FFS, she was trying to divert suspicion for the theft. Her actions are claimed to be financially motivated. None of this crap about Jews painting swastikas is relevant. The Jew who spray painted isn't trying to divert attention, they're trying to get attention.
