Dumbass robbery of the week....

Woulda been a lot funnier if the plastic bag on his head started to asphyxiate him and he had to take it off mid-robbery hehe

Dipshits. Those lotto tickets would have been worthless in minutes as soon as the store reported them to the gaming commission that they were stolen.

Yep. I don;t know why they always go for them. Right after they just call them in and anybody that trys to cash one in gets arrested.

While I'm sure the gaming commission has the serial numbers of all the tickets sold to that store, they won't know which ones were legitimately sold prior to the robbery. What would happen to the poor folks who bought them?

This is more common than you think. About 4 years back I was working in College Park, Maryland at Alario's Pizzeria off of Route 1. Two gentlemen came in wearing relatively unique clothes. They ordered a sandwich and left.

About an hour later, two gentlemen wearing the exact same clothes, this time with ski masks on, came into the pizzeria and took all the money in the register, peoples' wallets, and jewelry.

They were caught a couple of days later staying at a hotel down the road from the pizzeria.

OMG! I used to live there when I was at Marshall Univeristy!
😀

I think I know the store. It looks like a Jolly Pirate Donout store.

/me runs off to see the local paper

Oh, this is sad...that I would know not only what type of donut shop it is but where exactly it is.

On Rt 60, this shop is close to I-64 access ramp and where a buttload of rednecks live. A hotel that charges by the hour or week is right next door. Pathetic really.

Yeah they would, they were bought at that store legitimately, so their serial numbers were probably recorded somewhere in the computer.

a lot of smaller stores don't scan each ticket they sell, where I worked we didn't have a scanner. We could look at the ticket # when the shift started and record it, do the same thing when the shift ended. That way we knew how many tickets were sold of each. The tickets are activated by a lot #, I think any winning tickets bought before the robbery those people will still be screwed. Even a lot of stores that have a scanner simply scan the price and nothing else.
