I think it's doubtful a whole entire thriving species exists, but maybe if they are the last handful of some very old one... it could be possible.

If they are human like and very intelligent, I could them being able to avoid coming into contact with humans for the most part. However, lack of physical evidence is what really makes me believe there is nothing to be found.

Probably not.

Is bigfoot some sort of weird hominid hybrid that's intelligent and might be hiding out and living on the edges of civilization and trying to avoid detection?

Why is that possibility so implausible to a skeptic?

And don't forget that the native peoples that had various legends and myths about them also lived in the same places where bigfoots are still spotted today.

I'd say slim to none. There are plenty of things out there yet to be discovered, particularly in the ocean, but something like bigfoot that has gone undetected in plane site? I doubt that one.
