Dumb question

Guys, I know that MST is 2 hours behind, but network tv doesnt' work that way. For example, a show that starts at 8 (primetime) on the east coast doesn't start at 5 in California.

Holy cow people, now everyone ask themselves "HOW MANY TIMEZONES ARE IN AMERICA"

answer: 4 (5 if you want to count Alaska)

Eastern, central, moutnain, pacific, (alaskan)

What does that have to do with anything?

PSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT keep quiet. He is the "KNOW ALL", don't question him

I'm just suprised it's not more commonly known is all. One guy asking is fine but I wasn't expecting there to be the lack of certainty there was int he responses. Sorry to be a dick about it 🙂

Do people in the central time zone watch shows earlier in their day than the rest of us? For example, a series scheduled at 8 is shown at 8 in the eastern and pacific timezones. But you always hear 8/7 central, why do those in the central zone watch TV at an earlier time of their day? Or do they?

OMG, I think I need to change this thread's title.

Outside of live events, I'm pretty sure that tv shows are NOT shown at the same moment across the country.

Most of the time. it works like this; A show at 10:00 PM Eastern:

Eastern: 10:00 PM
Cntral: 9:00 PM
Mountain: 11:00 PM
Pacific: 10:00 PM

That is why you either hear 10/9 central, or 10 eastern and pacific.
