dumb question....why do you need a case?

My brother ran his computer just sitting on his desk for a good year. lol..

Just don't drop any change or anything on it.

Because paying for $1000 of equipment and having it sitting around to be trampled, stolen, dusted up, spilled on, and generally destroying because you can't pay an extra $50 for a way to protect, organize and efficienctly reduced the size needed for the computer is just plain stupid.

Reason I don't is because my case muffles the noise

Plus, it organizes everything

Yeah just for protection.

I have had a couple computers go without a case for a while. That definitely showed me that case design is important to cooling.

Btw, I have seen someone here with their entire computer pinned to a board on their wall before.
